Adobe adds RAW capture to Lightroom mobile and greater export options

Adobe has released updates for Camera Raw and Lightroom Classic, as well as a significant update to Lightroom for Windows, macOS, Android, ChromeOS, iOS and iPad OS. 

As announced recently, the mobile versions of Lightroom officially gain the ability to import images directly from memory card and external storage. This is possible due to updates in iOS 13.2 and iPadOS 13.2 that allow Lightroom to bypass the iOS camera roll and import Raw and JPEG photos into Lightroom using a Lightning or USB-C adapter.

The other significant change is the addition of much greater exporting options. According to Lightroom Product Manager Tom Hogarty on the Adobe blog, Advanced export brings the ability to “export multiple photos as original, DNG, JPEG, TIF files, along with control over metadata, watermarking, file naming, output sharpening, and color space.”

Changes have also been made to shared albums. Previously only possible on the web versions of Lightroom, shared albums can now be created on any version, with photos and collaboration functionality also included.
