Esports in Australia is still such an unknown area to many people. At times gaming can be seen as something still for children and not a sport to be taken seriously. Competitive gaming can be such an intense yet rewarding experience. For the top players, there is money on the line, chances to compete in bigger tournaments and overall, potentially a career in something they are passionate about. The players in these photos are some of the best players in Australia and New Zealand for the game World of Tanks. The event photographed is the ANZ Premier League (ANZPL) for World of Tanks and was a live event with an audience at Fortress Sydney. I was so thankful to get an opportunity to photograph these players and capture their excitement, their passion, their disappointment, and their focused concentration.
