Pat Martin, Tiny native daisy with Crab Spider and prey (September theme: Little things)

Measuring only 3cm across, this tiny daisy has been rigged up by the white Crab Spider which conceals itself under the petals until an insect lands, attracted by the bright underside colour of the petals which have been stuck together on top. The wasp has been covered in a gleaming coat of the gluey substance exuded by the spider. An ingenious trap in miniature!
