Brett Ferguson, The School (People and Portrait 2018)

This set of images is part of a series exploring the school in which my grandmother completed her entire education in the 1920's. Linking the old and now derelict building with wardrobe from that era, the viewer is transported through time. Whilst the mood in the portraits is sombre, the colour palette and character of the building gives us a sense of the history that was created here. For me, this series gives me the opportunity to link my photography to my family history.
