Tom Gilmour, The Place Beyond the Pines (August theme: Green)

New pine trees growing just past the main plantation in Campbell's Creek, Victoria. Colours made vibrant and saturated to capture the feeling I had when exiting the huge rows of old pines and seeing the new young ones stretched out and all bundled so close together. Behind me were old pines that had been numbered for destruction and I enjoyed capturing the moment with the symbolism of the new trees, brightly coloured representing life infront of me, and the old behind me darker - death.
