Sheree Allsop, The Midnight Bear (SINGLE SHOT 2024)

This young male polar bear was identified with binoculars as a spot on the horizon about 10pm and by the time we had loaded into the zodiacs, he was close to the shoreline. Alone, and clearly in need of a decent meal, he ambled parallel to our zodiac for close to two hours before walking back into the Arctic wilderness.
