Louise Faulkner, The many moods of Belle II (PEOPLE 2020)
I can’t help but mourn the impending exit of childhood. Teddy is still the panacea to her ills but she is growing, changing, her moods as strong an indication as her physical evolution. Frustrated without reason, tears without cause, solitary & pensive, curious yet bored. Some elements remain, enough to keep me happy: her desperate need for hugs, her hand seeking mine when we walk. Navigating maturity will be a challenge for both of us. I love her endlessly.
