Deborah Pearse, Tawny Chicks (Wildlife and Animal 2019)

Drought makes life really hard for our wildlife and when you combine it with gale force winds in nesting season, many chicks get blown to the ground. Some come into care briefly, some for a little time and are reunited and some due to circumstances are unable to be reunited and have to be soft released. Amazing birds who, completely unrelated, bond immediately and form their own little families.
