John Peters, Swish (SINGLE SHOT 2024)
This is the most technically difficult shot I've been able to pull off. I needed an insane amount of dynamic range in order to have the basketball hoop (which had no direct light at all on it from my side) at the correct exposure, as well as avoiding highlight clipping from the supermoon behind. In addition to that, my exposure times when photographing the hoop with a telephoto lens were relatively long, being in the midst of a slight breeze as well as the moon rising relatively fast. After plenty of shots, only two of them were successfully able to merge together for the dynamic range needed, creating this image of the Harvest Supermoon, as if it had fallen through the hoop.
