I captured this image on a recent trip across The Simpson Desert which was in the peak Milky Way season. It was also timed around a new moon. I discovered this very unusual tree in the desert and thought that would make a striking forground for an Astro shot. Canon 6D With EF 16-35 f2.8 KL USM lens. Captured at 16 mm F2.8, ISO 5000 for 20 seconds
