Grant Hunt, No Man's Land (Aerial 2018)
Flying high above the relentlessly battered coast line of southern Alaska is like flying over a huge artist's canvas. Snaking rivers and creeks wind their way to the frigid ocean across mud flats and tidal wetlands laid bare by 24 foot tides, winter ice and howling winds. Yet despite the inhospitable nature of the landscape, the colours offer the promise of vibrancy and life. All four images were captured within about 10 minutes as we flew over this particularly lush tidal zone.
