Peter Ogden, Mt Horrible (Straight Shooter: Australian Landscape)

Mount Horrible can be found in Turon National Park, NSW, Australia. While driving, we came to a crossroads - given the choice between down Dark Corner Road or up Mount Horrible Road, we went up. The road climbs to 807m and the mist came down pretty quickly once at the top. Little wonder – the area is all that remains of an eroded plateau. There are snow gums up there and the ground is covered in slate of all shapes and sizes. Getting out of my comfort zone makes all the difference in capturing the kind of images that excite me, so I headed into the mist…glad I did.
