Graham earnshaw, Mid-west American living (Travel 2019)
in January earlier this year, my partner and I visited Colorado for some skiing. We hired a car and drove to several skifields in the State. The winter was one of the coldest (and snowiest) in recent times, so it provided some beautiful snow-covered mountain scenery. But the photos here I've wanted to show the starkness of the living conditions here on the edge of the Mid-West. Other than some of the major towns and ski resorts, living in such a well-off country like the US, seemed anything but that in the height of this harsh winter.
