Danika Peets, Mental Health Fine Art Series (People and Portrait 2018)

This series is my mental health fine art portrait series. I had aimed to create striking and questionable visual representations of various mental disorders and make their symptoms more personable. It was my aim in this series to force empathy on the viewer by provoking them to feel how each disorder may feel to the people that experience them. And thus making people experiencing these disorders more relatable and reducing the stigma surrounding mental illness.
