Daniel Cook, Inner Glow (SINGLE SHOT 2024)
Winter is when you get the cleanest (and coldest) water around the Northern Beaches of Sydney. I have been obsessed with taking photos of the rising sun over the water as it creates beautiful light effects which you can only see when in the water. To take this photo, I'm in the water just before sunrise. I use a very wide aperture on my lens and get low in the water. With may camera in a waterproof housing and approximately 1/3rd of the lens port underwater, I hold my breath, look through the viewfinder and take photos of the surface of the water as the sun rises in the background.
