Taron Breen, In Ruins (Black and White 2019)

Photos were taken at the Victoria Battery, Waihi in New Zealand. It was built in 1896 and was a quartz crushing plant for gold extraction. It closed down in 1955, leaving it an empty structure in ruins, and is now a tourist destination. I wanted to play with light and shadows from within the plant and was also treated to the concrete industrial textures...can't beat a light, shadow and texture combination.
