Fartein Ringset, Immaculate (January theme: Abstract)

Focusing on close bird portraits, I went to Hyde Park to photograph the birds from a different perspective than I usually do. By photographing the white swan close-up, I wanted to display the immaculate beauty of these birds. With its beak hidden below the feathers, the abstract appearance makes one wonder what they see. After waiting for the orange beak to be concealed, I was left with a black spot painted on a white canvas. I hope this image incites curiosity and make us look at our surrounding wildlife differently.
