Genevieve Ackland, Helena Underwater (PEOPLE 2020)

Helena works at a high stress desk job where she excels, and leads a conservative life of quiet, low-key hobbies in her down time. Put her in a body of water, however, and she is a free woman. This series of images captures her wild, fluid spirit in its ideal space, and showcases the liberty she feels in the submerged world. These photographs were captured on both colour and black and white film 35mm film, using a Nikonos camera.
