Alan Barker, Goblin's Forest (Single Shot 2018)
You listen to the rush of the water as you steady your tripod and adjust your composition, then off to the side you're sure you heard a rustle of leaves, a splash in the stream, a quick flash of light; it's then that you notice the water droplets falling, almost in sequence, from the dangling mosses. There's no doubt you're in the Goblin's Forest! While the combination of cold, wet and raining may not at first encourage thoughts of 'let's grab the camera', it certainly creates some interesting moods and opportunities for stories to be told.
