John Titley, Flores Dreaming (People and Portrait 2018)

Frores Dreaming centers on a trip my two sons, Max and Nick, and I made in January of 2018. We sailed for a week through the islands off Flores, Indonesia, and there was often a sense of old-world adventure as we zigzagged between islands, dropping anchor at sunset with not another human in sight. My sons could not help but be consumed by the beauty, the vastness and the exotic nature surrounding them. Boat-crew, islanders, land and seascapes combined to create an intense sensory experience.
