Julia Kalinkina, Firewood Banksia (July Theme: Nature's Colours)

Firewood Banksia (Banksia menziesii) is endemic to Western Australia, and is currently in full bloom producing beautiful pink-orange flowers. Fun fact: you can predict the colour of the flower by the seed colour- pale pink variation has paler seeds than bright pink one. There is also a stunning copper variation, which is much more rare.
