Amy Eveleigh, Cosmic chicken (January theme: Abstract)

This absurd photo depicts one of the bizarre daily occurrences around my home, featuring our Astralorp chicken, Violet, who has dog and even human like tendencies in her behaviour. She enjoys spending her evenings inside with us watching television on the couch, cuddling up on our laps, and she wants to sit on the dining room chairs, or when the mood strikes her she might fly up onto the back of a chair and balance precariously there. When it comes to animals, there can be such emotion and humanity in them, they often exceed our expectations for intelligence and behaviour, even with chickens we should expect the unexpected!
