Natalie Robinson, Commuter lights (SINGLE SHOT 2024)

As I drove under this bridge multiple times a week, taking my children to football training, I looked forward to the view I got at twilight - especially how the colours in the mural under the bridge reflected the colours in the sky. After shooting beyond the bridge for over an hour, just waiting for the light to drop enough for the long exposure, I decided to take a step behind the bridge and noticed the street lamp had come on to light up the industrial steelwork. I re-framed, took some test shots, then just as I took my second photo burst, the train went past. Amazing!
