Christopher Forden, Celestial Dawn (SINGLE SHOT 2024)

Driven by the anticipation of a potential G4-5 geomagnetic storm, I set out in the early hours to witness a spectacle that promises to awaken the soul. Arriving at Deep Creek, Tooradin, I was greeted by clouds, a seemingly unbreakable barrier between me and the staars. Yet, as if responding to the quiet expectation of the morning, the sky parted, unveiling a vibrant dance of red aurora. These beams of light, rare in their occurrence and ethereal in their presence, stood like sentinels until the break of dawn. The play of light across the landscape reflects not just a physical phenomenon but the emotional journey of waiting, witnessing, and capturing a moment that transcends the ordinary.
