Suzanne Nelson, Bygone Cholitas (CREATIVE 2020)

A visual expression of the diminished life force of the older generation of Andean women in Bolivia. The peeling paint and crumbling walls, a metaphor for the harshness of life's journey in the poverty stricken country and the faded daisies, symbolic of a distant memory of the beauty and vitality of her youth as a colourful and vivacious Cholita.
