Suzanna Patton, Bridge Over Cooper Creek (SINGLE SHOT 2020)

In September this year my husband, our dogs and I spent two weeks camping in Outback Queensland. During our journey we spent a couple of nights at Cooper Creek, just outside of Windorah. An amazing oasis of birdlife, fish and turtles, it was such a relief after many dusty days in the Outback. On reading about the Creek and its part in Australian explorer history, I was amazed to discover that my great-great x something grandfather, explorer Captain Charles Sturt, was the one who gave it its name.
