Focus Features has released the first trailer for the Pete Souza documentary The Way I See It.

Souza worked as official White House Photographer for former US presidents Barack Obama and Ronald Reagan, and following President Trump's inaguration in 2017 has acted as a sort of political commentator - often using images captured during his tenure to comment on the current political climate.

Described as an 'uprecedented look behind the scenes of two of the most iconic Presidents in American History, Barack Obama and Ronald Reagan, as seen through the eyes of renowned photographer Pete Souza', the new doco is based on Souza's best-selling book Shade: A Tale of Two Presidents. The documentary promises to also provide an amazing insight into the style and work of one of the great living photographers.

According to the trailer’s description “As Official White House Photographer, Souza was an eyewitness to the unique and tremendous responsibilities of being the most powerful person on Earth. The movie reveals how Souza transforms from a respected photojournalist to a searing commentator on the issues we face as a country and a people.”
