A Sydney-based photo studio is targeting online retailers with a new photographic service that showcases products in a 3D/360 degree format.
Hula Hoop Studios director Tony Hill told Photo & Imaging News that the licensed technology provides online retailers with a cost-effective volume option not previously available in Australia.
“Through our European partners, it’s the first time Australia has seen technology that can provide high volume and significantly higher quality reproduction at a competitive price bracket,” Hill said.
The technology incorporates the capture of 36 images across 360 degrees.
“This is an end-to-end solution for online retailers or suppliers wanting to influence consumers to complete their purchase with a rich, authentic and persuasive online shopping experience,” he said.
“360° and 3D high quality images are not only eye-catching and attractive, they are instantly engaging,” he said. “360 and 3D imagery gives an online experience like no other, it provides online shoppers with the chance to explore every angle of a product and make a more educated purchase evaluation which in turn should give weight to better online conversions.
“Quality images influence purchasers with the perception of a trustworthy, high integrity brand, product or service. From a purchaser's viewpoint, poor quality images equate to poor quality products or services and naturally, of course, the opposite is proven to be true,” Hill said.
Hula Hoop Studios is a partnership between Hill and Daniel Nortje. Both have extensive backgrounds in photography, photographic production and the advertising industry.
