Photographers who missed the original deadline for the 2026 Mono Awards have been given extra time to enter, with submissions extended until Sunday, 21 June 2026.

The competition, which celebrates the best in black-and-white photography, is now in its eighth year, with the awards open to photographers worldwide across three categories: People, Places and Animals.

The 2026 competition offers a prize pool worth $12,500, including $10,500 in cash and additional prizes from presenting partner Synology.

The best 90 entries will be published in a special Mono Awards edition of Australian Photography magazine, with winners and finalists to be announced in September.

Entries are now open until 11.59pm (AEST) on Sunday, 21 June 2026.
