Fujifilm launches GFX Challenge Grant Award program
Fujifilm has opened entries for its 2025 GFX Challenge Grant Program, an international initiative aimed at supporting photographers and videographers developing original visual projects.
The program offers funding and technical support to selected applicants, with five global recipients set to receive USD $10,000 (around AUD $15,000) each.
An additional ten regional grants of USD $5,000 (around AUD $7,000) will also be awarded.
All successful applicants will gain access to Fujifilm’s GFX System camera equipment on loan for the duration of their project, along with support from the company’s product specialists.
Now in its fifth year, the GFX Challenge is open to both emerging and established creatives. Final works will be shared on Fujifilm’s global website and may feature in other promotional activities.
Leanne Hughes, Head of Marketing for Electronic Imaging & Optical Devices at Fujifilm Australia, said the company continues to invest in opportunities for content creators in the region.
“The GFX Challenge Grant Program provides funding and tools for photographers and filmmakers to complete a specific project using our medium format system,” she said.
Past participants have also gone on to collaborate further with Fujifilm. One example is Yvette Scott, an Oceania finalist who later worked on a campaign for the company’s X-E5 camera.
