Breaking: Is this the first video of Nikon's new full frame mirrorless camera?

Comments Comments

The rumour sites have been running in overdrive in anticipation of a new full frame mirrorless camera from Nikon, and now it appears we have just had our first look at the Japanese-company's new baby.

A few hours ago Nikon released a new video called "Travel of Light". All signs point to this being the teaser trailer for the new Nikon mirrorless camera.

In the video and edited stills above you can see the new rumoured 'Z' mount looks to be quite large, and the camera appears to have an operation dial on the left hand side.

There's also a dedicated Nikon site for the video, although information is a little scant so far. Rumoured specs for the new camera include a 45MP sensor and a retail price of $4,500US.

As for the video itself, we'll leave you to try and decipher the meaning of it all, with the only clue the rather cryptic text below telling us absolutely nothing about what we're looking at.

"Countless rays of light come together, forming an image at the end of their long journey. Nikon’s ongoing mission heading into the future: to guide light into forming superb pictures."

Unlike the video, we'll keep you updated as more news about the new camera is unveiled.
