Australian Photography + digital magazine has been named 'Niche Magazine of the Year' in the 2013 Australian Magazine Awards. The award was announced at an industry luncheon on 14 November at The Ivy in Sydney.

In presenting the award, the judges commended the magazine for its “exacting standards in cover design and content” and observed that Australian Photography + digital posted the strongest circulation growth of any magazine in the niche category.

The Australian Magazine Awards were established in 2009, with magazines shortlisted based on audited circulation, Morgan Readership and, where available, Nielsen ad expenditure data. Final judging is undertaken by a panel of media buyers, marketers and designers.

Managing editor James Ostinga thanked the magazine’s passionate readers and praised, "AP's talented and hard-working team of writers, photographers and designers who surprise and inspire us every month."

Australian Photography + digital is owned by Yaffa Publishing, which also owns this website.
