The first, the E PZ 10-20mm F4 G, (15-30mm full frame equiv.) is marketed as the world’s smallest and lightest ultra-wide angle constant F4 APS-C power zoom lens. It's 20% lighter than its predecessor, and uses internal zoom and focus mechanisms so it does not change in length when zooming or focusing.

Made up of three aspherical elements, the E PZ 10-20mm F4 G also includes two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements that should help control chromatic aberration. An additional ED aspherical element helps keep images sharp, at least according to Sony.

The lens has a minimum autofocus distance of 0.2 meters with a maximum magnification of 0.14x, and it features a new electronic power zoom system that should ensure direct, responsive control and adjustable zoom speed.

Next, the E 15mm F1.4 G, (22.5 mm full frame equiv.). Inside are three aspherical elements with the addition of one ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass element and one Super ED glass element that will help suppress chromatic aberration. It weighs 219g, and features an internal focus mechanism that means like the 10-20mm, the lens length does not change when focusing. Speaking of autofocus, two 'advanced' linear motors manage it.

The lens also includes a dedicated aperture ring for direct, intuitive control with an aperture click switch that can be switched on or off: on for tactile feedback that lets the user “feel” the stops, or off for smooth, continuous, silent aperture control.

The last lens in the line-up is the E 11mm F1.8. (16.5mm full frame equiv.). Inside are three aspherical elements and three ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements, It has a minimum focusing distance of 0.12 meters and maximum magnification of 0.2x. It weighs 181g, and like the other lenses, uses two linear motors to manage AF.  The E 11mm F1.8 also accepts front filters, which is a feature that is often lacking on ultra-wide-angle lenses.

The E PZ 10-20mm F4 G, E 11mm F1.8, and E 15mm F1.4 G are available in Australia now. The E PZ 10-20mm F4 G has an srp of $1199.00 AUD, the E 11mm F1.8: $849.00 AUD and the E 15mm F1.4 G: $1199.00 AUD. You can find out more at Sony.com.au.
