Nikon Australia has announced the NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.2 S and the NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S, two new lenses for the full-frame mirrorless Z-Mount.

The NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.2 S is dust- and drip-resistant, and is effectively sealed against dust and water drops from the moving parts on the lens barrel, with the rubber seal protecting the area around the lens mount. It weighs in at 1090g and measures 89.5mm x 150mm.

On the exterior, there's a lens barrel display, and on the inside, three aspherical elements to boost resolution and reduce distortion. There's also two focussing groups, each with their own STM stepping motor.

Aimed at landscape and architecture photographers, the 14-24mm f/2.8 S features a flat front element, unusual for a lens of this type, and is considerably lighter than its DSLR predecessor the AF-S 14-24mm F2.8 G, weighing in at 650g.

The lens also provides the option between a dedicated lens hood that supports filter attachment (HB-97) where a 112mm screw-on filter can be attached directly to the hood, or the normal lens hood (HB-96) that is suitable to be used when there is no filter attachment.

The lens is 88.5mm x 124.5mm, and features a nine-bladed aperture. The elements feature 'Nano Crystal' and 'ARNEO' anti-reflective coatings.

The new NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.2 S and 14-24mm f/2.8 S will be available locally in October. No local pricing has been confirmed, but in the US the Nikkor Z 50mm F1.2 will retail for $2,100 ($2,870 AUD), and the Nikkor Z 14-24mm S F2.8 will retail for $2,400 ($3,280 AUD).
