The exhibition, “Photographs from the James Bond Archive”, is the brainchild of film producer Michael G. Wilson – a keen photographer - who has opened EON’s photographic archive for the exhibition which will be held in Leica's store in London.

To go along with the exhibition, Leica has chosen to release a limited special Leica D-Lux 7 007 Edition camera. It features the familiar bond “gun barrel” design on the lens cap and is emblazoned with the iconic 007 logo on the camera's top panel.

Beyond its looks, the Leica D-Lux 7 007 Edition is identical to the standard Leica D-Lux 7 announced back in 2018. It's built around a 17-megapixel sensor with a built-in 10.9-34mm f/1.7-2.8 ASPH lens offering a 24-70mm field of view (equiv.).

To celebrate the James Bond film franchise – which began with the release of Dr. No in 1962– the special-edition set is limited to exactly 1,962 units worldwide. The set comes in a specially designed presentation box and will be available globally at Leica Stores and the Leica Online Store from March 2023. It'll set you back $3,290 and can be ordered from Leica store now.

In addition to the new camera, you can see some of the photos from the exhibition below.
