Insta360's upcoming Mic Pro and Luna Ultra let you show logos, graphics or even emojis on the mic while filming
Insta360 has used the annual NAB Show 2026 to preview its upcoming Luna Ultra camera and Mic Pro audio system, but it's the microphone, not the camera, drawing the most attention.
That's because in an era of minimalist, subtle mics that barely can be spotted at all, the new Mic Pro includes a customisable E-Ink display built directly into each transmitter, allowing creators to show logos, graphics or even emojis on the mic while filming.
Yes, this is genuinely something different - the mic is becoming a visible branding tool.
Beyond the display, the Mic Pro is designed for tight integration with Insta360’s cameras.
Its “Direct Connect” system enables pairing without a receiver or extra accessories, reducing setup time. A three-capsule microphone array and AI-based noise reduction handle audio capture, while onboard recording provides a backup.
Alongside it, the Luna Ultra, co-engineered with Leica, features a 1-inch sensor, f/1.8 aperture, 10-bit colour and iLOG support. The compact gimbal camera is aimed at the same category as devices like the DJI Osmo Pocket 3.
Together, the announcements point to a broader push by Insta360 to build a connected shooting ecosystem, competing with rivals such as DJI and its DJI Mic range.
Pricing and release details have not been announced, with Insta360 describing the NAB showing as an early preview ahead of a wider launch later this year.
