GoPro Announces update to its 8-year-old 360 Camera, + new compact cam and gimbal
GoPro has announced three new products, including the long-awaited successor to its 360-degree camera, the MAX.
The MAX2 360 camera, which will be priced at around $749, records 8K 360 video with 10-bit color and GP-Log support for advanced post-production.

It captures 29-megapixel 360 photos and features six built-in microphones for high-quality audio. Twist-off replaceable lenses are made from durable optical glass, and the camera includes a 1960mAh cold-weather battery and built-in GPS.
In addition, users can unlock up to 300Mbps video and advanced camera settings via GoPro Labs firmware.

The MAX2 supports AI-assisted 360 editing through the GoPro Quik App and comes with 16 mounts for flexible shooting angles.
Preorders are available on GoPro.com, with shipping and retail availability from September 30.
Meanwhile, the LIT HERO, priced at around $399, is an ultra-compact 'lifestyle' camera with a built-in light designed for low-light and night shooting.

It records 4K video at up to 60 frames per second, supports 2x slow-motion playback, and captures 12-megapixel photos. The camera is waterproof to 5 meters and weighs 93 grams. Its 4:3 aspect ratio allows immersive point-of-view footage, and magnetic mounts enable versatile placement.
The built-in light provides a “retro vibes” effect for photos and videos.
Preorders start today on GoPro.com, with retail availability from October 21.
Finally, the Fluid Pro AI gimbal, priced at around $339, supports GoPro cameras, smartphones, and point-and-shoot cameras up to 400 grams.
It features three-axis stabilization, AI subject tracking that follows a person’s face or body, an integrated fill light, and 18 hours of runtime. The gimbal can also act as an external power bank.

It will be available on GoPro.com and in stores from October 21.
