Godox Announces AD400Pro II all-in-one strobe

Godox has announced the AD400Pro II, the follow-up to its 400 Ws all-in-one outdoor strobe.

The first AD400Pro gained popularity for its balance of power, portability, and price. The updated model introduces improvements aimed at increasing speed, flexibility, and ease of use in multi-light setups.

The most significant new feature is a Freeze mode with flash durations as short as 1/27,770 s. This is designed for photographers working with subjects in motion, such as sports or dance, where very short bursts of light are needed to capture sharp detail.

High-speed sync up to 1/8000 s is still available, giving users the ability to match flash with daylight in outdoor settings.

The AD400Pro II also works with the new Godox X3 trigger for one-tap wireless sync. All connected lights can be synced instantly across 16 groups and 32 channels without navigating through menus.

A full-color display allows each group to be assigned a color, making it easier to identify and adjust individual lights in a multi-strobe setup.

The built-in 30 W bi-color modeling lamp now covers a 2800 K to 6000 K range and can be dimmed from 10 to 100 percent. It can be used as both a focusing aid and a low-intensity continuous light for video.

Power options remain practical, with the battery providing up to 460 full-power flashes per charge and an AC adapter included for continuous shooting when wall or external power is available.

System compatibility has also been expanded. Along with Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Olympus, and Panasonic TTL support, the AD400Pro II now works with Pentax and Leica.

The light ships with a Godox mount and includes a Bowens adapter, giving access to a wide selection of modifiers.

The Godox AD400Pro II is available for pre-order for $1,075.
