Adobe Photoshop now on Android
Adobe has launched the beta version of its Photoshop mobile app for Android, now available as a free download on the Google Play Store.
The app brings many of the familiar editing tools, including layers, masking, selections, and Adobe's Firefly-powered Generative Fill tool to Android devices running version 11 or later with at least 6GB of RAM.
For photographers, the app offers familiar tools like the Spot Healing Brush, Clone Stamp, and advanced selection options, allowing users to retouch images, remove distractions, or apply creative edits directly from a smartphone.
Adobe says Photoshop on Mobile is designed for quick edits in the field, building social-ready content, or refining photos without needing a laptop.
All features are currently free during the beta period, and Adobe says it plans to expand functionality based on user feedback.
Built-in tutorials and community resources aim to support both new and experienced users.
Everything in the app is free at launch in what Adobe says is a “thank you for being a part of our beta community." Inside the app itself, it says features are available for a “limited time only."
Interestingly, Apple users never got this promo when the iPhone version launched in February, so it's possible it won't be around for long.
You can download Photoshop Mobile via Google Play.
