The major updates are focussed on Adobe's Sensei AI-powered features, including more streamlined editing tools and enhanced animation features. Like with Photoshop's popular tutorials, both new products also gain a number of educational guides.

According to Adobe, there's more than 90 available across the two programs, with the step-by-step interactive lessons covering everything from how to achieve a specific editing task to creating a different 'look' for their photos and videos.

In a first, both Elements products gain web and mobile companion apps, although these are only available in Beta form currently.

Other features include AI advancements for photos and videos, which let users add moving elements to photos, while also saving in social-ready formats including MP4 (videos) and GIFs (animated photos), Artistic Effects inspired by popular art styles to transform video clips with one click, new backgrounds, patterns and skies, new collage and slideshow templates, new Peek-through Overlays to create the illusion of depth in photos, and new audio tracks in Premiere Elements, among other enhancements.
