Lucy Xu, 伏見稲荷大社 (JUNIOR 2023)

This photo showcases the Fushimi Inari Shrine from a different perspective; a contrast from the bright vermillion torii gates it is often associated with, instead as a serene and spiritual religious site. Emphasis is put on the vermilion red, which shields the shrine from evil forces, while the golden Autumn leaves hints at the rice crops, which the god of this shrine, Inari protects.
