Shipra Anand, Yellow Eyes in a Grey Room (ENTRIES CLOSED - February theme: Wild)
I was so hypnotised by those yellow eyes that I found myself leaning closer and closer, almost without thinking. The whole scene was washed in soft greys — the wall, the light, even the cat’s fur — and then there were those eyes, sharp and bright like they didn’t belong to the same palette. When I finally lifted the camera, the cat didn’t flinch or turn away. It just sat there, calm and steady, as if it understood exactly what I was trying to capture. For a moment it felt less like I was taking a photo and more like the cat was quietly cooperating, letting me into its world of stillness and colour.
