Sean Paris, Yarra Bend (August theme: Reflections)
Taken at the Bell Bird Picnic area, Yarra Bend, Kew. This image was taken late afternoon at the bat colony of the Grey Headed Flying foxes on the Yarra river. In the reflection you can see them perched up in the tree's in preparation to fly out by night all across Melbourne to feed. In Victoria these amazing bats are listed as a threatened species. They are one of the largest bats in the world and are spectacular to see in their colony.
