Xiaoxiao Jia, Who are we? (Black and White 2019)

This group of photographs displays a kind of violence and erotic reflections through different mirrors. The story is invisible happening in the metropolitan city, and it displays a sort of public’s wishful idea which is hided deeply in ours mind. Through the mirrors, we can find the comparison between the strangers' behavior and gestures on the posters which stick in the mirror. I went to a university party, there was a salacious atmosphere at that time, students can take drugs and drink alcohol. I felt they probably forgot who they are. Therefore, my idea was inspired by this special experience.
