Sash Emmanuelle Somerset-Beauverie, West St Kilda Beach Bathers Pavilion During COVID-19 Lockdown (September Theme: Travel)
This is a photo of the West St Kilda Beach Pavilion Cafe and it’s Beach with it’s beautiful view out to the marina and sea, showing how the West St Kilda Beach Pavilion Cafe is wrecked and closed impacted by the COVID-19 lockdown and business restrictions and closures, the with the Pavilion’s cafe having to be closed for sit-down eating, and be for take-away only, all taped-up closed off as diners and people are now deprived of enjoying it and not allowed to enter, the cafe is left looking sad and dramatically too bare and empty without diners sitting at the cafe. It has a beach chair, now in the photo centre, left astrewn idle and chaotically disorganised, untidy looking more like messed up clutter, than a pleasurable beach spot to relax and bask in the beach sunlight. Table chairs are packed away out of sight, gone are the enjoyable dining spots to travel to wine n fine beachside in the glorious beach sunshine. All that remains is a bland black and white café all packed up, and looking dramatically too bare and empty. The very sad opposite of what we would travel to to enjoy our beachside wine n dining and relaxing.
