Ashley Pope, Weathering the storm (August Theme: Weather)
Each year my family and I visit Robe, South Australia. This beautiful seaside town provides many photographic opportunities, no more so than the Obelisk, probably the most photographed location in the town. On this particular day, the wind was blowing about 30-40 km per hour, and a storm was almost upon me. I decided to throw the DJI drone up and try and capture the Obelisk and rocky landscape at the elements of the ocean. The erosion is such that you can no longer drive to the Obelisk and take photos, and it will only be a matter of time before this icon of Robe disappears into the ocean.
