Craig Ford, Wanaka Tree - Approaching Autumn Storm (SINGLE SHOT 2022)

Approaching storm at the iconic "Wanaka Tree", Lake Wanaka, South Island, New Zealand. The delicately curved trunk of arguably New Zealand's most popular tree seemingly grows directly out of the pristine waters of the lake, giving the appearance that the tree is floating on the surface of the water. I decided to use long exposure techniques here to provide movement and to enhance the ethereal quality of this black and white landscape scene as the weather closed in.
