Jared Drennan, Waking The Mountain (SINGLE SHOT 2022)

A brisk February morning at Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, amid Covid-19 restrictions the usually bustling French ski resort is remarkably quiet. However some things never change, the smell of fresh baked bread wafts through the streets from the boulangeries opening their doors while church bells ring out over the valley from the medieval church. It is now that the Alpes come to life, first light hits as the sun is eclipsed by the mountain and the suns rays unfurl out above the imposing peaks. The day is upon us, the mountain is awake.
