Michael Moxon, They Watch in Silence (July theme: Eyes)

A quiet tension holds this frame. Six dolls sit suspended in darkness, their expressions frozen, their eyes locked on something just beyond the viewer’s reach. Uniform in stillness yet disturbingly individual, they evoke themes of obedience, surveillance, and forgotten innocence. There is no movement, no sound — only the sense that something has just happened, or is about to. They Watch in Silence explores the fine line between childhood comfort and unease, challenging the viewer to confront the familiar made strange.
