Alex Ham, The Waters Edge (Landscape 2019)

The colours in salt lakes are formed by bacteria reacting to the changing salt levels. Salinity is higher where the water is receding and this is also the shallows, which reveal the underlying textures. This series showcases the areas where water meets land and where the colours and textures of the salt lakes are at their richest.
